Where ‘Go Read a Book’ Becomes a Treat, Not a Threat: Leonardo Little Free Library

This Treehouse Has Got Some Stories

Hey there, book lovers. Leonardo Little Free Library is the new hotspot in town, and it’s right in front of our treehouse on Ocean Blvd. That’s right, folks – my daughter and I slapped together a Little Free Library, and it’s as fabulous as it sounds!

Summer Reading Adventures

And talk about perfect timing! School’s out as of yesterday, which means it’s time to keep those little darlings busy, out of our hair, and secretly learning. (Let’s face it, we need them educated so they can support us in our golden years, am I right?)

What’s on Our Shelves?

Our cute little book nook is stuffed to the brim with all sorts of page-turning goodness. We’re talking mysteries, adventure, fantasy – you name it! And for those of you looking for ideas, I’ll be linking some bestseller lists for kids and tweens in this article. Feel free to grab a book, leave a book, or buy a new one to donate. It’s all good in our literary hood!

Our Inventory

Now, because we’re all about making your life easier (and, let’s face it because I love a good spreadsheet), we’ve put together an online inventory. It’s like a menu, but instead of food, it’s brain food. Check out what’s on our shelves below – we update it more often than I update my wardrobe!

Don’t See A Book You Like?

Then buy it and when you’re done, let us read it too. You swap any book out for a new one in our stock. But don’t worry, if you have nothing to give, we have plenty. Take one for as long as you’d like, but do try to bring it back eventually 🙂 Here are Amazon’s most recent best sellers for kids and tweens. Note: we do have an affiliate relationship with Amazon, but it doesn’t affect the price one bit. It just helps us keep doing what we love.

Join the Reading Revolution

So come on down to the Ocean Blvd Little Free Library. It’s always open, and unlike me, it never judges your book choices.
Remember: Reading is sexy, and our little library is the hottest thing on Ocean Blvd since… well, since we put it there! Plus, it’s a great way to keep the kids entertained without resorting to letting them reorganize your spice rack… again.
Happy reading, you beautiful bookworms!
